The Kamiesberg Flower Trail Run is an annual run that takes place during the flower season between August and the end of September. It consists of a 20km loop on the Rooiberg Hiking Trail and a 10km trail alternative for runners who prefer a shorter distance as well as a 5km fun walk. The 20km race starts with a tough 12km ascent to the summit of the Northern Cape’s highest peak the Rooiberg, followed by an 8km down the valley to the finish line. The finish line has cooling waters of the farm dam and some local food prepared by the ladies in the ‘kookskerm’ (food Kraal). Family members can enjoy playing traditional games on the farm, while runners enjoy the routes.
